Mammon or Jesus? Whom Shall We Serve?

Hello Everyone,

I have a confession and an apology to make.  I have not been writing lately because I was recently chastened or disciplined by the Lord.  I have recently been promoting myself a lot on this blog, which had originally been meant to discuss and praise God, His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and God’s Holy Spirit.  I have sincerely apologized to the Lord for doing this and I apologize to all my readers for doing this.  Now is not the time for meaningless self promotion.  As Christians, we should be spreading the Word of God, not the word of world.  I am more than happy to share my work and my friends’ works with my readers, but I noticed all my posts so far were written to please God first.  However, I also realized a small part of me still  wanted recognition from them. This blog first and foremost was dedicated to write about the things Jesus Christ wanted me to write about and so it will be rededicated to this purpose again.  That is not to say the previous posts are incorrect, but I was writing them to spread the truth AND also to get “my name out there” so to speak.  I will now dedicate them to writing exactly what Jesus wants me to write about and to spread the Word of God and to cover any issues or anything else Jesus wants me to cover.   If the previous posts helped my friends, readers, and any others, then so be it, but I should not be looking for recognition for myself.

With this being said, I recently had an interesting experience starting earlier this week and onwards. Last Tuesday night, I was feeling pressured by the cares of this world.  Trying to finish my thesis film on schedule, looking for part time work, trying to pay back my student loans on time.  and waiting for a part for my CPAP (Sleep apnea) breathing machine after four previous mistakes by the supply company.  I was very upset with the Lord, because I did not feel He was doing much to help me with these worldly pressures I have been faced with.  I was getting upset so instead of approaching the Lord with thanksgiving for the things He have and will provide for me, I decided to approach the Lord with dissatisfaction and said “Lord, You need to work faster because my patience is wearing thin and if You can’t deliver, then I am going to have to take matters upon myself.”

The next day, I was struck with a terrible cold and I had to stay in bed most of the day.  I could not get out of bed until 11:00 a.m.  Usually, I would be up and ready by 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. the latest since I have not found work yet.  As I was lying in bed, I received a call from one of the subjects I was hoping to film and he agreed to do it and put me on the phone to make a date to interview him with his secretary.  I was able to get two definite dates down immediately.  Then, a little while later, the mail came and the postman rang my doorbell.  The package with the part for my CPAP machine had arrived and it was the correct part.  I realized what God was trying to say through my cold.  He was reminding me He is God and is ALL POWERFUL.  This is going to be a very important term for my blog today, because there are many powers in the world today, but one of the greatest powers in the world today is money or rather the influence or possession of money.  In simplest terms, the love of money is one of the most driving forces in today’s world, especially the economy.

As many of you have probably already seen, the Occupy Wall Street movement has now spread from New York City to the rest of the world.  Many other protestors are now joining with the same goal of financial reform.  However, their goals are not entirely clear and some of the protestors mentioned “spreading the wealth”, which is a vague phrase, because whose wealth will be spread around remains uncertain.  For now, it seems to be the major corporations of the world.  I met two supporters of the Occupy movement and I saw they were handing out a socialist newspaper.  This didn’t surprise me as I knew this movement had a mix of people from different ideologies including socialism.  Because some of them do have far leaning ideologies, I do not support their goals, because I know these far leaning ideas (whether to the right or left) usually leads to dictatorships.  Not everyone in the movement has these ideas, but nonetheless, the movement right now seems have those that do and I cannot support those ideas.  However, I do sympathize with the situation of most of the people in the movement.  They are young college students who cannot find work due to this economy.  They have been called lazy and maybe that applies to a few, but not the movement as a whole.  I know what it is like to be out of college and looking for work as this is my situation right now.  Finding jobs today are not as easy as they were before.  This video is an example of this point:

http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/local&id=8580058

However, a friend recently told me when the movement started to gain momentum in Zuccotti Park, there were some people who looked down on the protestors from their office windows and drank champagne to mock them.  This is an ignorant act, because lately, I have noticed a change in the way people treat each other.  There are some who have jobs and provide for themselves and their families, which is perfectly normal, but some of them tend to look down on those who do not have jobs.  I have friends where their own relatives surprisingly treat their not so lucky or blessed family members this way.  ”Spread my work ethic” is their slogan.  Here is a video of what I am talking about:

I do agree with Mr. Whittle that survival skills should be necessary, but his conclusion that “corporations are people too” shows his misinformation about corporate America or rather the “owners” of corporate America.  Yes, the people who work under these corporations are usually pretty good and decent people who work hard.  I am not disputing this, but the CEOs of corporations such as Monsanto not only treat others unfairly, but the kind of products they give their customers are GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and can cause a variety of illnesses.  This is illegal and the CEOs of Monsanto are still managing to buy up more farm land that will grow their seeds.  Here is a video by Mike Adams the Health Ranger explaining this:

Obviously, putting people away in a cabin for three and a half days as Mr. Whittle suggests does not sound like a solid plan.  This not a man versus the elements situation.  This way of thinking is futile and for a very simple reason.  Our economy is imploding.  Yes, soon our paper currency known as the dollar will be devalued.  What evidence do I have to prove this?  How about the recent economic turmoil in Italy and Greece?  Do you honestly think that nations that are suffering economically such as these are not affecting our economy as well?  Don’t forget that the world is now a “global village.”  What happens in one country affects most or all of the other countries worldwide.  Here is a link to an article talking about some of the worries concerning Greece:

http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20120317-701189.html

The economic system we have today is not capitalistic, but rather corporatist.  Capitalism and corporatism are two different ideologies according to the New Oxford American dictionary.  Here are their definitions along with the definition of the word, “oligarchy.”:

capitalism |ˈkapətlˌizəm|noun.  An economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.

corporatism |ˈkôrp(ə)rəˌtizəm|noun.  The control of a state or organization by large interest groups.  DERIVATIVES: corporatist adjective & noun

oligarchy |ˈäliˌgärkē; ˈōli-|noun ( pl. -chies).  A small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution : the ruling oligarchy of military men around the president.• a state governed by such a group : the English aristocratic oligarchy of the 19th century.• government by such a group.DERIVATIVESoligarchic |ˌäliˈgärkik; ˌōli-| adjectiveoligarchical |ˌäliˈgärkikəl; ˌōli-| adjectiveoligarchically |ˌäliˈgärkik(ə)lē; ˌōli-| adverbORIGIN late 15th cent.: from Greek oligarkhia (probably via medieval Latin).USAGE See usage at aristocracy .

Right now, the big banks and some major corporations who own this country work with the federal government to abuse the people of this country, which is what makes it a corporatist economy with an oligarchical government behind it.   Again, this is why I have a problem with the quote,”Corporations are people too.”  While this  is true in a sense, corporations are not run like regular businesses.  For example, there is a phrase going around saying “It’s not what you know, but who you know that matters.”  This could not be further from the truth.  Of course what you know should matter more than or as much as who you know.  However, many corporations breed this country club environment where their “friends” get promoted to positions they barely know anything about and thus to make up for this, the workers on the bottom are expected to perform more work, while the executives give themselves huge bonuses while the workers on the bottom are (borrowing from a Guyanese expression) “left without a pot to piss in.”  In an independent business, especially a small business (such as “mom and pop shops”), things usually are run much differently.  Independent businesses require that their employees have the skill to do their jobs so the business can stay afloat and in this economy, many have been forced to shut down or to be bought out by major corporations.  Also, independent businesses provide more competition for big corporations and the more independent businesses there are, the more competition they face in the market.  Unlike some corporations who do not care (or have to care) and can skirt the law and stay afloat thanks to their team of lawyers and “friends” in Washington, who are supported by their “campaign contributions.”  Here is an article that gives an example of how big corporations work with the federal government, especially the justice system to skirt the law:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/08/business/in-shift-federal-prosecutors-are-lenient-as-companies-break-the-law.html?pagewanted=all

To put it more clearly, corporations are like the monolith that appear in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey  directed by Stanley Kubrick.  They seem big and imposing, which causes many to be in “awe” of their power, but their size does not always determine their quality of service.  There are some corporations where the quality of service leaves much to be desired.  For example, some major phone companies have been accused of providing inadequate service even though their rates keep going up.  Here is an article about one story of their inadequate service:

http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/Phone-Companies-Grilled-Over-Bad-Service-115337124.html

Some major companies even refuse to hire the unemployed.  Here is a link to a Time Magazine article about this:

http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2073520,00.html

In other words, bigger is not always better.  We have seen various reports where CEOs end up giving themselves huge bonuses even though they claim their “big” corporations or banks are suffering and even when they collapse.  Their new business motto has become “Every man for himself!”  Here are a few links to various articles that cover this topic:

http://bottomline.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/01/27/10252581-ceos-rake-in-huge-sums-when-their-companies-go-bankrupt

http://www.salon.com/2012/03/14/greed_fatigue_and_mf_global/singleton/

There has also been the arrival of various “easy money” schemes.  which closely mirror ponzi schemes.  Many of these schemes are designed as pyramids.  They start out with people who first take the offer and recruit others to sell products (sometimes online) for various companies.  The more people they recruit under them, the more money they get.  The same is true for the people they recruit.  However, there is a flaw in this plan.  Not everyone can get rich, because there are those who have to be at the bottom of the pyramid in order to sustain those at the top.  This sounds almost like the structure of our economy.  This is completely against the teachings of Jesus Christ.  This survival of the fittest model of our economy eradicates kindness, compassion, and most of all love from our society and replaces it with the love of money and power.

Sometimes, on the news, there are those people who say that those who detest the way this economy is run should go out and find jobs and quit complaining.  There is one major flaw with their way of thinking.  GOD is rendering His Judgement on this nation and one out of many reasons is our love of money.  Therefore, our love of money (which is the root of all evil) is one of the many sins that have brought God’s Judgement upon this nation.  These people do not seem to understand that there are a banking elite that have enslaved this nation (see my post, Their Time Has Come) and have turned our free market capitalistic economy into a corporatist one where only a few major corporations have the most influence and buying power.  They are mostly multinational corporations and do not pay corporate taxes, especially since most of them have no allegiance to this country.  This is what is called an oligarchy, which is the power to rule by a few.  Here is an article that talks about the tax evasion practices of some multinational corporations:

http://af.reuters.com/article/commoditiesNews/idAFL2E8E59LZ20120305?pageNumber=1&virtualBrandChannel=0

With the economy’s current model, people on the bottom of the pyramid scheme are the real losers and end up becoming “wage slaves.”  So, the workers who laughed at the Occupy Wall Street protestors and drank champagne in front of their windows to show off their rich lives are also ” wage slaves” like the rest of us.  Their way of delusional thinking that everything will be just fine and will work out for them will soon be put to the test.  The best way to describe their futility in their way of thinking is with a metaphor.  Two slaves are receiving lashes from their so called “masters” and one slave turns to the other and says, “Ha! I got less lashes than you!”  Of course, the other slave is going to look bewildered by his ridiculous remark seeing as they are both slaves suffering at the hands of their so called “owners.”  As I mentioned before, I believe that the collapsing economy is a Judgement by God.  He is handing us over to our own avarice (greed).

This nation is under God’s judgement.  A message was given by God to a friend of friend.  He asked God about building a shelter to protect him and his family from any civil unrest that may occur due to the collapsing economy and God responded to him “What shelter can man build to protect him from the Wrath and Judgement of God?”  His answer was nothing.   Nothing.  That is exactly what this and any other nation is without God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Nothing can protect us from the Judgement of God, EXCEPT THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH.

According to Matthew 6: 24 (King James Version), Jesus says “No man serve two masters: for he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.  Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Here is a link to the NIV version:

http://www.blueletterbible.org/search/translationResults.cfm?Criteria=cannot+serve+two+masters&t=NIV&sf=5

In the King James version, which seems to be the most accurate and literal translation of the Word of God, Jesus warned us about not being able to serve Mammon AND Him.  This is very interesting, because Jesus could have easily referenced greed, but chose to use the name of the god or rather demon of seeking personal wealth (greed).  Jesus personified this desire as being influenced by a wicked spirit rather than something that is self driven.  Jesus is doing what the Word of God does, He exposes the works not only of the physical realm, but the influence the spiritual realm has over these works.  Here are some links that talk about Mammon not just as a greedy desire, but also as a living being:

http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G3126&t=KJV

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammon

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mammon

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mammon

Mammon is still playing a role today in the money systems of this world and those who feel they are living the good life are serving him completely and not following Jesus.  Jesus did not promise us the riches of this world, but the riches of another world.  These spiritual riches will be given out when Jesus has taken the throne of this world from Satan soon.  Jesus’ Kingdom is coming soon and the reliance upon the “system” will come to an end and faith in God, His Son, and His Holy Spirit is the most important thing that will sustain those who are a part of Jesus’ coming Kingdom of Heaven.  Amen.

How It All Got Started.

July 6, 2011

Hello Everyone,

As I mentioned in my profile, I am a college student working on a thesis film and it is about public access television.  I will be writing a blog dedicated to public access television soon, but it was important to share with all of you the assignment that inspired this thesis.  It all started in my second semester editing class and I decided to shoot a film and apply my new editing skills to the film with each new piece of footage I shot.  I decided to film an extremely talented public access producer in Queens by name of Bob Thompson, who hosts the show Drinking With Bob.  Bob, however is only one access producer out of many and it should be noted that public access television does not just allow people to express their views or concerns over the air, but can also allow individuals and/or organizations a voice to serve the community that they would not otherwise find in the mainstream media.  Public access television is about bringing community members together to actively participate and interact with one another while providing a local or different voice that is not present in the mainstream media.  Here is a link to the short film that inspired my thesis:

I also appeared on a fellow public access producer’s show to talk about my film, public access television, and much more.  This producer is named Harold Channer and the name of his show is Conversations With Channer.  I must make it clear, I made a mistake when I said Guyana was ruled by the British, the French, and the Dutch.  The French and the Dutch did not rule Guyana, but constructed many useful buildings for the country.  The British, however, were the only ones to rule Guyana.  It should be noted that British, French, and Dutch Guyana are separate countries.  Here is a link to his interview with me:

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives Promos.

June 25, 2011

Hello Everyone,

My friend and I just completed two special episodes of a series we are working on called Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives.  My friend directed and produced it and I co-produced it.  Here is a link to our promo of the first episode:

Here is a link to a promo for the second episode:

Here is an interview we did about the two specials with Dr. Bob Lee on a public access show by the name of OPEN that aired in the Bronx on BronxNet which also aired the two specials:

We have already aired it on most of the public access television stations in New York City and we are sending out copies to different states such as Chicago.  The main subjects of the first episode are Ray and Romeo who are both blind activists with the National Federation of the Blind (NFB).  This episode covers the issues that are most pressing for the blind community and how they advocate to resolve these issues.  The main subject of the second episode is Father Patrick Martin, who is a blind missionary priest and is about how faith can be used to overcome the spiritual and physical obstacles of being blind and how other religions view blindness.  These two specials are truly insightful and helpful to those who were wondering about the lives of blind people.  Yes, they are ordinary people and especially in Father Patrick Martin’s case, ordinary people with extraordinary lives.

Charlie Sheen’s Craziness Was Either From His Own Sin or Sent By God as a Sign.

June 14, 2011

Hello Everyone,

Today, a fantastic question came to me and I have asked God what His thoughts were on the subject.  His answer came to me in an unexpected way.  I asked Him what it takes to be real man or gentleman.  This is a very interesting question, because the answer varies in today’s society.  Some people may view it as how tough and muscular you are while others say it is about standing up for what is right and taking on responsibilities and taking care of others and others even believe it is determined by how much wealth you have.  God gave me an interesting example.  He used the TV show Two and a Half Men.  In the show, Charlie Sheen plays a rich swinger who lives on the beach and constantly sleeps with different women and drinks.  His younger brother, Alan, is a divorced guy who is more of a Beta male and is divorced and lost everything he had in that divorce.  He cannot attract women like Charlie and is often looked down upon by his brother and everyone else as being a sponge or parasite and a loser.  Women in the series love Charlie’s bad boy persona, but get frustrated with his lack of commitment.  In the series, Charlie is shown as a man’s man.  A guy who works as a musician by day earning a lot of money and sleeping with women and drinking by night.  Charlie has no shame or remorse for most of his actions.  Charlie is played by Charlie Sheen.  God is probably using him as an example as he was driven crazy by either God or his own sin.
By now, everyone knows about Charlie Sheen’s breakdown and leaving the show to do his live show, A Violent Torpedo of Truth.  In reality, Charlie Sheen lives as his character does in the show.  People think he is cool because of it.  However, God showed me that He is bringing craziness upon Charlie Sheen, because He is challenging this “bad boy” persona.  In other words, He is taming that tiger.  God reminded me about the story of how He drove King Nebuchednezzar II crazy when he forced the Hebrews to worship a golden idol (and even threw three of God’s messengers/servants into a burning furnace in which an angel of the Lord rescued them) and when God drove the Midianites (who conquered and oppressed the Israelites and forced them to worship their false god Baal) so crazy that they started killing each other allowing Gideon to win the battle by God’s Grace.  Both that king and the Midianites were proud and completely rebelled against God even to the point of hurting His people and even challenging Him directly.  These people would probably have been considered cool for their rebellious personas, but God showed them that He is King and will NOT tolerate rebellion against Him.  In the same way they are being driven to madness, so is Charlie Sheen being driven to madness, but most people are blind as to it’s cause, but are rather interested in him as a character and a celebrity.  In a sense, Charlie Sheen’s condition foreshadows the future condition of this whole world as it will be driven into madness (probably by God or its own sin), because of it’s rebellion against God.
So, what does it take to be a real man or gentleman?  In the first paragraph, the part about taking on responsibilities and caring for others is partially correct in God’s Eyes.  A real man or gentleman must first be submitted to, repent to, rely on, and serve God first.  Then, he must serve others and then himself last.  The same goes for women as well.  Anyone who can closely emulate Jesus Christ the best way they possibly can through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit is seen as a real man/gentleman and woman/lady in God’s Eyes.  Jesus Christ is a real man/gentleman and most of all He is the Savior of mankind and the Son of God.

Elfen Lied and the Horrors of Transhumanism.

June 10, 2011

Hello Everyone,

As many of you have noticed from my recent articles, I am a fan of anime.  I wouldn’t say a huge fan, because I would only watch a select few and then watch a couple episodes from the rest.  However, there are a few anime shows that are not my cup of tea.  Some of them are Bleach (if you’re a fan, I apologize, but the story just does not hold my interest as much as Naruto or Dragon Ball Z), Death Note (even though it is extremely well written and produced), Sailor Moon (my friend asked me to watch an episode and it just wasn’t for me), and now Elfen Lied (TOO MUCH GORE!!!!).  This anime, Elfen Lied, was too gruesome even for me to watch.  It can best be described as a cross between Friday the 13th and Carrie.  The anime was created by Lynn Okamoto and I have only seen half of the first episode, because the gore was too much for me to handle.  However, I was able to gather more information about the show online.

The story centers around a girl named Lucy who has two horns on her head and the power of telekinesis.  She is supposed to be an evolved human being (I think it is called a Diclonyus) or a mutation of sorts.  She was experimented on in a government facility.  Throughout the series, she mercilessly kills other people out of revenge for what they did to her.  Now, some people may have pity on a character like this, but there is a major problem.  This creature possesses no self-control whatsoever.  In her childhood, she seemed to have been raised in an orphanage and even then had managed to kill (it is unclear whether intentionally or not) a handful of people with her powers.

Now, in terms of the world today, some might excuse this as being a genetic quirk, but if you are a Christian who has studied Genesis 6 extensively, you would know what these horns, telekinesis, and lack of self control stems from.  If you also read the book of Enoch and have read various material about this subject from Tom Horn or Steve Quayle, then you would know that Lucy could in fact have a parent who is human (usually a mother) and another parent who is a fallen or demonic angel (usually a father).  In the story, Lucy’s parents are never mentioned, so it is unclear who gave her birth.  The horns on her head are a dead giveaway in my opinion and in fact, there are stories in people in ancient times having horns who are not considered fully human.

In this government base where Lucy was mercilessly experimented on there are other Dyclonii being experimented on.  She eventually escapes, but not without killing many military soldiers and even an innocent girl during her rampage before being shot in the head.  She survives, but then goes into an infantile state.  Even though what the scientists and military did to her  was awful, Lucy can still revert back to her form and uses her powers to kill those sent after her.  Some might believe that poor Lucy escaped the terrible base so she can be free.  However, this assumption about Lucy being a victim of geneticsin the eyes of Genesis chapter 6 is completely mistaken.

Genesis chapter 6 can be seen if you go to this link:

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+6&version=NIV

Here is the King James Version:

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+6&version=KJV

In this chapter, God specifically states to Moses (who is believed to have written Genesis) that a long time ago, fallen angels who rebelled against God came down to the Earth and mated with human women.  They taught these women many things from how to make war to magic.  The wives of these fallen angels became known as witches.  These women eventually gave birth to human hybrids known as the Nephilim.  These Nephilim were mostly giants (some ranging from nine to 30 ft tall) and usually had six fingers and six toes.  Their skeletal remains, by the way have been found, but are taken away by various military organizations to government facilities for genetic testing and cloning (Steve Quayle can explain more about this).  They learned war, magic, and other evil and forbidden arts from their fathers.  Some were very intelligent, but others were primitive and slaves to their own instinctive desires.  Some demanded human or even child sacrifice and others were cannibals though.  In other words, most of them had an enormous blood lust.  These Nephilim also promoted the corruption of mankind to serve themselves rather than to serve God.  Man was already sinful even before the arrival of these Nephilim, but were now almost completely wicked due to their influence.

God saw that man was no longer a spiritual being living for spiritual things, but now a totally flesh or desire driven creature just like the Nephilim.  God had meant for man to be spiritually connected to, serve, love, and trust Him as He would always love and protect His precious creation, mankind.  When God created man, he breathed life into him and did the same with the woman.  In a sense, we had a small portion of God’s Spirit running through our bodies just as blood runs through our vains.  This spiritual energy can be sometimes referred to as ki or chi.  However, these Nephilim and their fathers declared themselves to be ancient gods and demi-gods, causing mankind to worship them rather than the True Creator, God.

So, how does all of this relate to the story of Elfen Lied?  If you research the works of various people who cover this subject, you get a sense that the Nephilim and their fathers began to “experiment” by combining the different DNA of humans and other animals.  By watering down mankind’s DNA, it was getting harder for man to connect or even retain his spirit God had given him and even his spiritual connection with God.  Thus God says in Genesis 6: 3, “Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with (or remain in) humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”"   After the Lord said this, he told Noah (who is Enoch’s descendent) to build an arc so he and his family will live since they were righteous in the Eyes of the Lord.

This “experimentation” would continue today in the form of genetic modification for human advancement or transhumanism.  This is a real philosophy being sold to the world today and is at the core of the Singularity Movement.  I remember I attended TriBeca Film Festival and I saw the film Transcendent Man.  Even though it did not win, the director was there along with the subject of the film, Ray Kurzweil.  After the film, I asked Mr. Kurzweil about the possibility of these human modification technologies ending up in the wrong hands.  He gave a basic “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it” kind of an answer.  I was not left with much confidence in the practicality of this transhumanist philosophy after that question.

Now, the story may not acknowledge this explanation of Lucy’s powers and I highly doubt that the creator is a government conspirator or Christian seeing as less than one percent of Japanese are Christian (this statistic may have changed).  It seems the creator embraces the theory of evolution and how humans have wrongfully tampered with it and/or other humans.  However, this show serves as an example of the importance of this Biblical explanation.  It is necessary to understand this, because these types of “experiments” are going on in so-called alien abductions and in black budget programs in underground military bases.  I know, it sounds like I forgot to take my schizophrenia pill today, but please at least consider this Biblical account and use Lucy from Elfen Lied as an example of what could happen if these nightmarish experiments are real and allowed to continue.  Remember, repent, turn from sin, pray earnestly to God, read His Word the Bible everyday, and truly seek a living and active relationship with Jesus Christ.  Then, when you call on the name of the Lord Jesus christ of Nazareth, He will give you Authority to cast those monsters out of this world by the Power of His Holy Spirit through the Saving Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ.

What’s In A Hero?: The Quiet Strength of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

June 8, 2011

Hello Everyone,

Who was your hero as a kid?  Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman?  In any culture you find there are stories of great heroes.  Heroes are people who perform magnificent feats in order to save the lives of those in danger while putting their own lives at risk.  People revere and honor them for their courage, benevolence, inner strength, and astounding acts of heroism.  Heroes can take any form, shape, size, and color.   But who is the greatest hero of all time?  This question can spark as many answers as there are varieties of flowers.

Growing up, I was always fascinated by heroes, especially superheroes and most of the shows I used to watch as a kid were focused on superheroes such as Goku, Superman, Samurai Jack, etc…  I always held these figures in high regard, because they possessed something I had rarely possessed throughout my life;  bravery.  I always fantasized about being a courageous hero like these men, but I would cower away in fear most of the time.  I used to be afraid of everything from riding a bicycle to even thunder and lightening.  As a child, I would skylark in class about superheroes such as Johnny Quest or Space Ghost.  I always wanted to be like a superhero.  They did the most good wherever they went, always got the beautiful girl, and ah yes, they possessed superhuman qualities or powers.

Superheroes for me, however, represented another quality I looked to gain growing up; true manhood.  These superheroes truly represented what it meant to be a man.  They took upon themselves the well being of others and would give their lives to protect others.  These shows would usually end happily where the heroes become the saviors of the people.  Recently, I began to think about Jesus’ role as a hero and Savior to the world and one question seemed to arise.  With heroes like the ones in these shows, why do they need a Savior like Jesus Christ?  Could Jesus be counted among these great heroes or is He above and even separate from them?

The truth is in the latter part of the second question.  Jesus Christ makes it clear throughout the New Testament that He is more than just a hero.  He is THE MESSIAH and THE SON OF GOD and He has spiritual authority handed down to Him from His Father.  This means that Jesus possesses far greater power than these superheroes do.  However, Jesus does not go around exalting Himself.  Rather, Jesus prefers to let His Message speak for Itself through the Power and Authority of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord, however, gave me wonderful links that could provide some insight into the Quiet Strength of Jesus Christ of Nazareth in stark contrast to the bold chested heroism of ancient and modern day heroes and superheroes.  God gave me the example or parallel rather of the last temptation of Christ.  Many people think it just about power, but what some may not realize is that Satan was offering Jesus all the power of this physical world.  He was tempting Jesus to become like these heroes and to use His Awesome Powers to take down and conquer his enemies and rule the world through His own might.  There was only one cost, Jesus had to bow down before Satan and worship him as God.  Jesus, however, blatantly refused stating that His Father was the One True God.  This last temptation, however, could also be seen as a distraction to the Purpose God had for His Son.  Jesus, through the Grace of His Father and the Holy Spirit, refused to let anything stop Him from fulfilling God’s Will.
These superheroes, however, are men and women of the world.  They fight for the things of this world and carry out their own interpretation of (mostly America’s) truth and justice.  They love the world more than they love God.  They reflect this aspect all human beings share.  This is what the ancient Greeks (and essentially most other civilizations) did with their gods and goddesses.  They ascribed to them human characteristics in order to relate to them.
Jesus, however, was the exact opposite.  He commanded us to ascribe to be like God in our attitudes and behavior.  Here is a link to a site that talks about a comic book, portraying Jesus as a superhero and it is number 4 on his list:
http://www.cracked.com/article_18785_6-comic-book-crossovers-you-wont-believe-actually-happened.html
Here is a picture someone drew illustrating this last temptation of Christ:

I also began to think about how this relates to this blog and the Lord pointed me in the direction of the Tiananmen Square Massacre.  He led me to this documentary and showed me this wonderful act of heroism:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SB70mWXrzEE
While these acts of heroism are great, without Jesus, we can do nothing and must realize that true heroism lies in serving God  first, others second, and ourselves last.  Please let me know what you think.

Socialists May Hate Rich People for Being Rich, But Some Rich People Lack Common Courtesy.

June 7, 2011

Hello Everyone,

I was surfing the Internet tonight when I came across this article from World Net Daily by Mr. Neal Boortz.  It is called “Why Socialists Hate Rich People.”  Here is a link to the article so you can read it for yourself:

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=16272

In the article Mr. Boortz gives his opinion as to why socialists or “leftists” in this country (the United States of America) are envious of those who are wealthy.  His conclusion is that these “poor” leftists can be rich themselves if they only work hard enough.  However, they remain poor, because they are too lazy to go the extra mile.

Granted, this article was posted back in 2002, before the economic crisis we face today.  However, this way of thinking still permeates through the political air of our society.  Now, I am NOT a liberal or a republican, but Mr. Boortz’s article is partially right and partially wrong.

It is partially right in the sense that there are those in lower classes who are envious of the rich, but are too lazy to do anything about their situation.  However, it is partially wrong, because there are those in the lower classes who work very hard and receive little in return.  There are a variety of reasons for this.  Here is a list of a possible few:

1.  Institutionalized Prejudice.  I know.  The word “racism” gets tossed around a lot these days and for many unnecessary reasons.  However, I believe that there are situations where a person’s race affects their ability to get a certain job and how they are perceived in society.  The reason I use the word prejudice instead of racism is very simple.  In some cases, it is not the hatred of one’s skin color (racism), but the irrational fear of others based on stereotypes (prejudice) that drive some businesses and institutions to discriminate.  However, this problem can not be solved through government intervention and should be dealt with at the local level of society.

2.  The world financial system is designed as one big pyramid scheme.  The few at the top keep getting wealthier from the work of the people on the bottom, who do not see most of the money they actually earned.  In a society like this, there are few winners and many losers.  Again, government cannot solve this problem, because government (especially our own) is run much like a business and those run it are the winners, while those who are under it are the losers.

3.  Another reason is that in this society, hard work, knowledge, and experience are rarely honored.  These days, it’s about who you know rather than what you know.  For example, let’s say an employee at a company applies for a higher position, because he or she has met all the requirements of the job.  They have years of experience working for that company, they know much about the job, and have worked hard for this position.  Then, there is another candidate who does not match all of the criteria for that position, but knows the boss very well.  Who do you think would get it?  Logically, it should be the first one, but according to this world, the second person would get it.  Then, if this person does not know much about this position, most of the work will fall on the rest of the employees under this person.  This in turn would slow business down and the people who get blamed are the workers on the bottom, while the management at the top give themselves bonuses.  This causes many businesses to suffer in the long run.  Businesses should not be run as country clubs.

4.  Finally, some managers are not respectful towards their workers.  They do not even commend their employees going the extra mile.  There is this white shirt and blue shirt mentality.  The blue shirts are supposedly at the bottom, while the white shirts are at the top.  The two do not usually mingle and mostly, white shirts will look down on blue shirt workers.  Those in management (and I know this is going to sound unrealistic) should compliment workers under them who go the extra mile every once in a while.  This would build morale in the workforce.

One of the main reasons some rich people get on the nerves of the lower classes is because they flaunt their riches in everybody’s face to “prove” their supposed superiority, but instead prove their insecurity by doing this.  Not all rich people do this.  There are those who worked very hard for what they have and are very benevolent people.  This arrogant attitude trickles down from the elite class (see the article “Their Time Has Come”) to the lower classes.  Spiritually, this arrogance is in the hearts of everyone, because of sin.  I can understand Mr. Boortz’s frustration with Socialism, but Socialism acknowledges the State as being God, but we (as followers of Christ) are not supposed to worship the State, but rather the One True God Who sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins and rose again to give us forgiveness and a chance to live in His Kingdom when we repent and follow Him.

Also, some rich people adopt an Ayan Rand philosophy and see poor people as parasites.  This is a Satanic belief.  Jesus Christ commanded us to love God first with all our mind, heart, and spirit (Matthew 22: 37) and then to love others as we love ourselves (Matthew 22: 39), so we (including myself) should try our best to pray to Him to help us follow the two greatest commandments the Lord gave mankind eternally.

The New World Order War Machine: The Red Ribbon Army is Here.

June 5, 2011

Back in the seventies, there was an animation that was created in Japan that would become a world wide success.  This animation goes by the name of DragonBall and it was created by Akira Toriyama.  The protagonist of the series is a seven year old boy named Son Goku.  He is a very strong and nearly indestructible alien child with a super extendable fighting stick he calls a power pole and a monkey tale.  The story seems to be based off the Buddhist text, Journey to the West.  Goku strongly parallels the character of Son Wukong in the text.  In one part of the series, Goku (being about 7 years old) has to defeat the Red Ribbon Army.  A military organization (resembling the Nazis) whose leader is bent on finding seven magical orbs known as Dragon Balls to summon the dragon Shenron to grant him his wish of ruling the world.  In the end, Goku defeats this organization and becomes one of Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Recently, I was thinking about how the United States has hired mercenary organizations such as Blackwater to aid in their wars in the Middle East and in other parts of the world including our own country.  These mercenary organizations act as their own private armies for hire.  They have been accused of treacherous deeds and have even been indicted on some of them.  I remember this story that appeared on Infowars where the American Police Force (APF), a privately owned police force was enforcing the law in Montana.  Alex Jones along with Steve Quayle reported the unconstitutional nature of having a private police force enforce the laws anywhere in the United States.  There is another story of this occurring in Salt Lake Valley, Utah.  If the government keeps passing their unfair laws, these privately owned police forces will act as their strong arm and use merciless force to oppress you.   Here are the links to both stories:

http://realitybloger.wordpress.com/2011/05/22/the-sheriff-who-sold-his-county/

This seems that this uniting of armies and police forces will eventually give way to forming a one world army, which will oppress its dissidents just like the Red Ribbon Army did in this show.  Unfortunately, there is no Goku riding on a magical cloud coming to save the day.  I know making a comparison between a one world army and a group of cartoon villains may seem childish, but people seem to understand animations better rather than just the plain facts.  Some people just need a visual aid.  However, there is hope and power in the blood of Jesus Christ.  Jesus (who will descend on a cloud) will put an end to this evil on the Earth and will Judge all mankind.  Our hope rests in Him.

Here are a few links about the Red Ribbon Army and how Goku took them down (Both of them are animated music videos or AMVs):

What’s the difference?
